This edition of The European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD) Open Session was held in Alcalá de Henares, Spain from 29 - 31 October 2024.

The conference explored challenges and opportunities offered by digital transformation, innovation, and partnerships in the fight against Foot-and-mouth And Similar Transboundary (FAST) animal diseases.

My talk summarised a study from the Farmer-led Epidemic and Endemic Disease-management (FEED) project, exploring the role of heterogeneous farmer behaviour to inform epidemiological models of livestock vaccination.
